The Atlantic 10 Conference got one win in a first round men's basketball postseason game on Tuesday, but lost a pair. UMass cruised to an 80-60 NIT win over Stephen F. Austin. The A-10 went down in a couple close games: URI was edged by Creighton, 74-73, in the NIT, and Richmond saw its participation in the CBI end tonight at Virgina, 66-64.   Full Story

Four Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball teams have been invited to the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and one will play in the inaugural College Basketball Invitational (CBI). Charlotte, Dayton, Massachusetts and Rhode Island are each placed in one of the four eight-team NIT brackets. Richmond will take on Virginia in the CBI giving the A-10 eight A-10 teams in the postseason.   Full Story
