Breaking onto the scene this season is rookie seventh-round pick LaRod Stephens-Howling. Not many experts expected much from him, but Stephens-Howling has been facing doubters throughout his career. His size (5’7", 180) has fueled the uncertainty regarding his ability to play in the NFL. Last week however, he showed that the doubters may be on the verge of eating their words.   Full Story

The Cardinals must feel better about their long-term situation at quarterback after backup Matt Leinart played efficiently in a loss to the Titans. Making his first start since 2007, Leinart completed 21 of 31 for 220 yards. He didn't have a touchdown pass but he didn't have an interception, either...   Full Story

Backup quarterback Matt Leinart shook off the rust in Tennessee, but the Arizona Cardinals couldn't contain a last second game-winning touchdown and lost their first road game, 20-17. The Titans' win marked their fifth in a row, after an 0-6 start. The Cardinals added one to the loss column but have a lot to be thankful for after a thrilling game in the South.   Full Story

Quarterback Kurt Warner said he felt better Monday, a day after suffering concussion-like symptoms against the Rams. Warner was taken down on a pass play, hitting the front of his helmet on the turf. He stayed in the game for six more plays but left shortly before the first half ended. Coach Ken Whisenhunt is optimistic that Warner will play this week, but that's not a given.   Full Story

The Arizona Cardinals hung on to a first half lead that Kurt Warner created before he exited the game due to a blow to the head on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. With Matt Leinart taking over, the win wasn't exactly what you would call pretty, but the "W" is still accounted for. Here is what what worked, what didn't and what's next for the division-leading Cardinals.   Full Story

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has defended backup quarterback Matt Leinart after each of his three appearances this season, but there's no disputing that Leinart has failed to impress. His best opportunity came Sunday in Arizona's 21-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Cardinals led 21-3 when Kurt Warner left because of a concussion just before halftime.   Full Story

The Cardinals feature one of the most prolific passing offenses in the league. With Kurt Warner in the control tower and Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston as the targets, Arizona usually can't go wrong diverting its flight plan to the air. But Arizona's running game needs more chances to grow. The Rams are the perfect opponent to let Tim Hightower and Beanie Wells battle it out.   Full Story

The Cardinals are ranked 11th in the NFL in offense, but there is plenty of room for growth over the second half of the season. The passing game already is dangerous, and the elements of that threat have been together for some time. What's been lacking is a consistent rushing attack, and the club is showing signs of being on the verge of developing that, too.   Full Story

The Arizona Cardinals have talked all season about their lack of consistency, but that problem is really coming from only one side of the ball: the defense. The offense seems to have ironed out its problems. And if anything, it's improving. Rookie running back Beanie Wells is growing weekly and has become a real threat. Coaches are working second-year receiver Early Doucet into the rotation.   Full Story

The Arizona Cardinals proved their road prowess once again, taking home a 41-21 souvenir from Chicago. Summary: The Beavers obviously didn’t have a very good year and one of the main reasons was the pitching wasn’t very good. Wade LeBlanc and Josh Banks showed some life, but overall they gave up too many walks, finishing third in the league, and didn’t strike out that many, 13 out of 16 teams in the PCL.   Full Story
